The Practice of Mind Stillness
There is no routine procedure in terms of the practice of quieting one’s mind. You can quiet your mind whether you are in motion or sitting down. When you meditate, your mind is not necessarily still. You may be daydreaming or taking a nap during meditation. So do not fool yourself by appearance. Besides, meditation is not the only way to still the mind. In order to still the mind, you need to learn to be in charge of the flow between motion and no-motion. Stabilize your consciousness, your thoughts and emotions are all the outer expressions of your state of inner stillness.
